What the beta does, and doesn't do

Works today

  • Customers, jobs and notes
  • Estimates with line items and sales tax
  • A link to each estimate or invoice that you send by text or email
  • Accepted estimates turned into invoices
  • A seven-day calendar of visits
  • Visits assigned to team members
  • Invoices marked paid, and a total of what's owed
  • Job photos from your phone, kept with the job
  • Customers and invoices sent to QuickBooks Online

Not in this beta

  • Logins for your crew

Only the owner signs in. You can still assign visits to team members.

  • Sending messages for you

You send the link from your own phone or email.

  • Taking payments

Customers pay you the way they do today. You mark the invoice paid.

  • Working without signal

It needs a connection to load and save.

Questions

Who is it for?

Owners who do the work themselves, on their own or with a crew of up to five, in trades like plumbing, electrical, handyman work and installs.

Is it really free?

Yes, during the beta, and no card is needed. We haven't set prices yet. Before any paid plan starts we'll tell you by email, and you won't be charged unless you choose a plan.

Do I need to install anything?

No. It runs in your phone's browser. You can add it to your home screen so it opens like an app.

What does my customer need?

Just the link you send. No account and nothing to install. They can print the estimate or save it as a PDF.

Does it work without signal?

No. It needs a connection to load and save.

Who answers when something goes wrong?

Our team. Write to support@getstraightedge.com, or use Send feedback inside the app. During the beta we read every message.
